Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use Koa. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. We may terminate accounts if we discover a user does not meet this age requirement.

2. Important Medical Disclaimer

Important: Koa is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional medical advice. Koa by NuVee is an AI-powered health companion for people using GLP-1 and other anti-obesity medications, built for obesity care and metabolic health and designed to support — not replace — your relationship with your healthcare provider.

You should always consult with your physician, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare provider before making any changes to your medication, dosage, or treatment plan. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it based on information provided by Koa.

Any medical information Koa shares about GLP-1 medications is drawn from reputable, publicly available clinical knowledge bases rather than generated on its own. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency services immediately. Do not rely on Koa for emergency medical assistance.

3. AI Limitations

Koa uses artificial intelligence to process and respond to your voice conversations. AI-generated responses may contain inaccuracies, misinterpretations, or errors. You acknowledge that: AI responses should not be treated as medical advice; the AI may misunderstand your words, symptoms, or context; any health metrics Koa extracts from your conversations (such as medication, dosage, symptoms, and side effects) are automated estimates used to personalize your coaching and to share context with your care team — they are not a medical record or diagnosis and should be verified with your care team; and voice conversation quality may vary based on network conditions, ambient noise, and device capabilities.

4. Account Registration and Security

Access to Koa is by invitation only. You may register only if you have received a valid invitation from your care team or NuVee — whether as an invitation code or an email invitation link. Invitations are personal to the recipient, non-transferable, and may not be shared, sold, or assigned. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at help@nuveeai.com.

5. Acceptable Use

Koa is intended for general conversation and coaching about your health and lifestyle as someone taking a GLP-1 medication — for example, tracking symptoms and side effects, medication adherence, sleep, nutrition, exercise, and staying connected to your goals.

Koa is not a general-purpose AI assistant. You agree NOT to: use Koa for purposes unrelated to your GLP-1 health journey, such as asking off-topic questions, conducting off-topic research, generating or writing software or code, or attempting to connect external tools, plug-ins, or MCP servers; use Koa as a substitute for professional medical care or emergency services; share your account credentials with others or use Koa on behalf of another person without their consent; provide false or misleading health information; attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disrupt the App or its services; or use the App for any unlawful purpose.

6. Voice Conversations and Data

When you use Koa's voice features, your conversations are recorded, transcribed, and analyzed by AI systems. By using the voice feature, you consent to this recording and processing. Conversation data is used to provide health coaching, generate session summaries, and improve the service. 7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the Profile section of the App. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, except for data we are required to retain under applicable law or that we keep only in de-identified or aggregated form. De-identified data is no longer associated with you, and we do not attempt to re-identify it.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NuVee shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Koa. We are not liable for any health outcomes, adverse medication reactions, missed diagnoses, or consequences of following or not following information provided by Koa.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, willful injury, gross negligence, or personal injury caused by our negligence.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Koa service (including software, text, graphics, logos, and audio) are owned by NuVee and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

10. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of Koa after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Koa shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
